A NEW ALBUM
We can't help expecting a studio recording (her 51st). An album with just 10 pieces or so
(like exceptionally outstanding 1979 "I DON'T WANT THE NIGHT TO END" and "1990 LIVE IN SOFIA").
In any case, amazing Sylvie Vartan being authentic and spontaneous always.
Possibly, she'll write/compose herself, to our joy !
Nothing like hearing her current voice and singing voice in her own way. Sylvie, a symbol of freedom since early 1960s.
Sylvie has plenty of energy and spirit, in addition to an exceptional health,
which is by nature and the benefit of her life style ever since her early days.

Every move she makes is at the same time elegant, cute, gentle, feminine and all that. Always.
It's in her nature, after all. No need to make a pose (like everybody else).

- A PORTRAIT DOCUMENTARY of a FRENCH POP CULTURE ICON (1h30min / 1st diffusion October 2025)
below: super cool chic Sylvie Vartan in her Parisian residence. Impressive white flower on the table.
Fraicheur! The super cool couple Sylvie Vartan and Tony Scotti - in good shape!! - celebrated their special day (a few days earlier), at the restaurant Le Laurent, 8th Arrondissement Paris. It's March 1981 when they encountered (in Tokyo) and 3 years later on 2 June 1984, they got married in Los Angels. Since then, it's impossible for us to think of one without the other. The beautiful stage planning and direction par Tony for Sylvie immediately comes to mind such as 2009 L'Olympia Paris ("SYLVIE LIVE") and of course 2024/2025 Dome de Paris/Palais des Congres de Paris among others.
Tony Scotti (an American born in Newark, New Jersey) is a real gentleman, who is true, elegant, sensible and gentle! The same as Sylvie we love. Both of them deeply impressed me in Japan, especially at the time of "Le 3eme FESTIVAL DU FILM FRANCAIS YOKOHAMA 1995," when for the 1st time I had a chance to ask Tony Scotti for his autograph. They make me so happy since then. Sylvie & Tony, Fraicheur!

Sylvie on a morning radio program "Le Grand portrait," being always busy because of her 1st Masterclass (at her triumphal PDC Paris) coming up.
Still, something unusual happens in this interview engaging, the journalist lets Sylvie recall her early years (childhood) in Paris. Sylvie particulierement touching remembering her dearest mother Ilona Vartan ( * ) and her 1st unique concert in Sofia 1990 ( ** ). What's more, the journalist even requests Sylvie to hum a Bulgarian folklore (Oblatche Le Bialo). All that concerning Bulgaria are what makes her move to tears ever since 1990 returning to Sofia (where she spent her first 7 or 8 years).
* Her mother (1914-2007) : born in Hungary, lived in Bulgaria, France and USA.
* * 1990 Live in Sofia : Broadcasted on French public TV in Dec 1990 / CD Live release 1991 : "Enregistrement Public a Sofia - Le 6 Octobre 1990"
L'ange blanc Sylvie wears a cobalt blue jacket adding a white pocket square in a French morning TV program CNEWS, for promotion of her 1st Masterclass on 12 May 2026 at Palais des Congres de Paris, accompanied by a gentleman Roland Perez (*) as the interviewer.
In this TV appearance, she's nicely expressive, profound, vivrant, touching! An authentic Star Sylvie, she's a real artist. Her acclaimed performance, singing and all that are not logical, forced. She always wants to try new things. Especially after the years of continuous great concert live including 2024/2025. That's Sylvie!

Sylvie speaks of the upcoming MASTERCLASS (Palais des Congres de Paris) and also recalls her important friends such as Carlos (Feb 1943-Jan 2008), her secretary (1962-1972) also singing with her. Her early years of real gaiety with him performing in TV programs and going on domestic/world tours. He finally embarked on his career in the show business with success.
In her March 2008 concert in Tokyo (Orchard Hall, Shibuya), she sang "2 minutes 35 de bonheur" (1967 successful duet with Carlos) as an homage to him. Especially impressive live with definitely formidable singing voice, during the hardest time for her because of her mother's death in the previous Summer as well.
It's almost May, "joli mois de mai" and Sylvie will be at Palais des Congres de Paris for MASTERCLASS. Sylvie, who looks superbly stylish, got interview in April for a magazine La Tribune Dimanche (issue on Sunday 26 April). She says she doesn't like Sundays because she feels that for many people, life stops, or so many people or something isn't right. She prefers working on Sundays and taking a day off on weekdays. Who knew?

Sylvie wearing a cool striped suit, one of her favorits and high-heeled shoes! She's cheerful and spontaneous responding to a lively and positive journalist's various questions including coming "MASTERCLASS" at Palais des Congres de Paris.
Fabulous Sylvie in every respect! And in good shape! Sylvie wearing a light-blue blouse with white lovely collar on radio Europe 1 (un) on the morning 10:00 of 14 April, with Roland Perez (*), for the upcoming "MASTERCLASS" (Palais des Congres de Paris).

Her 1st Masterclass is coming up! Yes, Palais des Congres de Paris on 12 May!On her Official Instagram, Sylvie finally speaks to us about the event after more than two months! Extremely wonderful Sylvie. Real Star and a distinguished person.
Nice look with a white corsage and beautiful vivrant voice. As expected of Sylvie!

On the wall behind Sylvie, we see an impressive painting with light blue colour. It reminds us of Sylvie in early 1960s wearing an iconic chiffon fabric dress like an angel of a girl ("La plus belle pour aller danser"), doesn't it?

Sylvie, warm-hearted and considerate, sends messages (concerning a successful 2025 French film "Ma mere, Dieu et Sylvie Vartan") on French TV from her residence in Los Angeles, her all time shinny comfortable space, indispensable place in both personal and professional life of Sylvie Vartan ever since around 1971.
What's noticeable is that Sylvie speaks largely indoor in Paris but in California she's in her sunlit garden where a pleasant breeze often blows through.
Still, in the early 1970s when Sylvie was often in L.A (USA) for professional reasons, Sylvie said she prefers Paris (France) as a place to live, for she needs warmth and a bit of humanity sometimes. (Interview archive re-diffused on radio france musique Feb/Aug 2025).

Timeless Sylvie Vartan. A classic french movie (of Feb 1964) is released in Blu-ray and DVD (based on 2018 remastered latest material) per IVC (International Visual Corporation, Tokyo Japan). Sylvie Vartan's appearance and a sensational worldwide hit "La Plus Belle Pour Aller Danser" (*) are definitely the main event. Sylvie at age 19 looks mature for her age. Amazingly, Sylvie was "La plus belle pour aller danser et chanter"!! Her outstanding (innate) elegance and grace as well as unparalleled voice resonate with us for more than 60 years.
* "La Plus Belle Pour Aller Danser"

A successful 2025 film (besed on a true story) ranked second in France (*) is playing all over Japan, with a literal translation of the original French title. Evidently the name of Sylvie Vartan has a good effect on drawing attention to the movie, in which Sylvie even sings "LA MARITZA" (to the guitar by Michael Ohayon, one of her top guitarists).Ahead of the nationwide release, it showed on 21 March at "2026 Festival du Film Francais" (Tokyo, 19-22 March).
Except Hollywood blockbusters and popular anime films, many movies are generally shown in mini-theatres regardless of quality. Release day outside major cities normally about a month later.
left: 22 May 2026 review of major daily newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun concludes it as below - "Sylvie Vartan plays the role of herself (the Star who inspires the boy Roland). The inserted songs of Sylvie including "Irresistiblement" make us feel exciting and happy."
Many articles and other newspapers' reviews have been published before and soon after the release (15 May 2026). However, people's opinions on the film are split: -
- Toxic parent unsupportable and provoked an antipathy.
- A great impact of Pop music * effectively played throughout the film of which theme is a complex profound thing.
- Quite a surprise to many: Sylvie Vartan being in a movie that's not her biopic, to play herself. That enhanced the film.
* Sylvie's classic hits including "IRRESISTIBLEMENT" :
People of all ages must have heared somewhere since It's used for severeal majour companies' TVCM between 1987 and 2010s: 1987 Canon camera EOS 1st (AF SLR), 2004 ANA Airline etc and also a 1999 TV series, 2001 successful high school movie.
IRRESISTIBLEMENT: Sylvie's soft husky singing voice stretched and high tone like a symbol of freedom (a sense of freedom), resilience, energy, something courageous. A unique piece using tambourine has richness. This masterpiece is not just upbeat music. In the movie, it swells triumphantly (!!) in the end credits and feels perfect, fantastic.
