The way I discovered Sylvie Vartan was through LES HOMMES * (a kind of protest song) in 1970. My elder sister had the EP.
Sylvie left me with strong 1st impression at 1st sight or listening. One and only graceful husky voice and the jacket photo of
Sylvie (19 or 20). A simple beauty of her visage with a little makeup, lips firmly clamped, clear eyes and simply refreshing
rough voice that seems to be synonymous with a forever blue jeans, indigo blue cotton canvas in mixture of white and blue.
A kind of her distinctive personal quality or individuality has stayed deep in mind. Ever since then, top live performer
Sylvie Vartan brings me good energy, a spring in my life. May a breeze/tailwind blow and the sun upon her face always.

表紙はヴァルタンの1979年英語アルバムのジャケット（衣装:サンローラン）をモチーフにした 本誌独特のイラストレーション。
一見して大胆で過激な風だが、熟視すると繊細で洗練されたデッサン。ヴァルタンの特徴を芯から良く捉えていて奥に品格さえ見える。
マンネリ化した大衆的な60年代のイメージを払いのけて、80年代を目前にしたヴァルタンの英語作品から想を得た表紙に魅了される。
一方、彼らが選ぶヴァルタンのベスト20の一曲「あなたのことを教えて」* について： 最も美しいフランス歌曲の一つ。
表紙にはヴァルタンの一言（インタヴューでの言葉）：「私は人の言いなりにならない」。

Still, it sensitively captured the point of the vigorous Vartan with a certain grace. (Dessin: Erwan Terrier, 2020)
Page total 175. About one third (page 34-99) features Sylvie Vartan. Her English-language album of 1979
I Don't Want The Night To End is taken to create this superb front picture of Sylvie Vartan, in Yves Saint Laurent,
which dispels a fixed popular image of Vartan in 1960s.
Otherwise, they consider her "Parle-moi de ta vie" (1971) as one of the most beautiful French songs.

The photo is one of those taken (by RCA Japan) in the previous year, early May 1971
on her arrival at the Tokyo Haneda International Airport for the 2nd Japan concert tour.

who were audaciously shooting the star from such a short distance (1 meter away) or right in front of her.

Precious 1974 calendar in size 73 cm x 52 cm, 7 pages in total with color photos of Sylvie (1963/1973).
Offered to me around 1982 by friend of mine. It was originally belonged to his brother, who won it (in 1973 or 1974).
It was in perfect condition like a brandnew but now, after so many years, it has an antique look.

With both her expression and color combination, it was so impressive that the moment I saw it comes to mind.
It was on a big column by the huge stairs at the entrance hall of the concert venue in Shinjuku.

The complete works of her RCA period (spectacular 25 years)
- less than half of Sylvie Vartan's career spanning six decades.
A simply wonderful practical and useful collection of 21-CD (Vol.1/10) in a cubic shape open box
with a booklet filled with interviews, photographs and a chronological history of the artist.
Each vol (vol.1-10) with a leaflet providing info on all the songs.
Vol.10 (fabulous bonus: 4 discs) contains titles in several different language versions and outtakes
(recorded music not included in edited alubms). Sylvie, an international performer.
I got in 1996 at a stylish big records shop called WAVE in Roppongi (in central Tokyo).
I paid in cash around 45,000 Yen for it with excitement, then I found only later that it's worth more than anything.
