Sylvie as a family (with Tony Scotti and their daughter Darina) in Sofia, Bulgaria with full schedule. The profile documentary made in Bulgaria is called SYLVIE, PAR AMOUR.
It's her motherland (where she spend her important first eight years) and she's well known also for her providing humanitarian aid to Bulgaria through her L'ASSOCIATION SYLVIE VARTAN POUR LA BULGARIE.

Established in December 1990 together with musician and her older brother Eddie Vartan under Bulgarian Red Cross, after her 1st unique Live in Sofia on 6 October 1990 (CD Live: Enregistrement Public A Sofia 1990), which was broadcasted on France Television at end-1990 and later as well. It's the only concert in which Sylvie really shedded tears on the stage.
Sylvie is always present in their October annual meeting held at Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Paris ever since then.

On the day before "Le Jour de la Bastille" in Paris, Sylvie Vartan was named on the list of Ordre National de LEGION D'HONNEUR * (class 3: Commandeur) for her exceptional career in music long and excellent and enduring popularity (ever since early 1960s). Sylvie will be in Paris to receive the decoration in early October 2025.
* The highest and most prestigious French national order of merit. Her previous two decorations: "Chevalier" in 1998, "Officier" 2009.

It's about the movie, which is based on a true story and a successful book 2021. Sylvie is also the central idea of the personal novel that the author describes.

Actually she extends her gratitude towards both France and her parents (her family was legally admitted to France in 1952) at every opportunity. Also, she never forgets her homeland Bulgaria and she and her brother Eddie Vartan established "L'Association Sylvie Vartan pour la Bulgarie" (humanitarian aid) in 1990.

A duet with singer-songwriter Leonard Lasry. It was originally written and composed by him for Sylvie's 50th studio album of 2021 "MERCI POUR LE REGARD," in which she sings to the piano. It feels as if tears come naturally.
This time, he covered it with enigmatic Sylvie for his new album (coming in Jun) and release from it in advance. Such a beautiful nostalgic song with refreshing music and voices. It feels like blowing in the sea breeze in silence. A kind of work that will never fade away.

"SENSIBLE" is the album that I can't forget. Sylvie was in Tokyo in June 1999 for a series of live. Thanks to Tony Scotti, I could get her autograph on my CD. Sylvie had a new look with short straight hairstyle just like the album jecket. In November, Sylvie had concerts at L'Olympia Paris "Tour De Siecle."
Beautiful record that includes contrasting numbers such as grand SENSIBLE, touching "DARINA" and two dynamic numbers of rock'n'roller Vartan "ODESSA" and "MA VERITE."
About DARINA," one of Sylvie Vartan's autobiographical songs, who can forget her amazing performance, singing voice at L'Oympia Paris 2009 (Formidable CD/DVD live "SYLVIE LIVE"). It's absolutely an enduring scene. On the other hand, at memorable Dome de Paris - Palais de Sports 2024, Sylvie was sentimental in a different way and we saw her crying while singing it.
