Sylvie Vartan with her French top musicians (8) and chorus girls (3) at the Grand Rex Paris under the theme of her latest cover album Avec Toi... she recorded as an homage to J.Hallyday and 70% of the program are from his repertoire. Such an intense and sincere attitude of Sylvie Vartan.The closing song, a slow and quiet music is good but it feels sort of sad and dark in a whining tone. It has a different kind of sadness or melancholy from those Sylvie Vartan's proper songs have that I appreciate. Generally, her music characteristically has a touch of optimism.
She is professionally motivated by her emotions of the moment and authentic feeling goes on in her own way, though.
Sylvie Vartan once described the music as passion, in a televised interview of Japanese TV in Jan. 1991 (filmed at her Parisien residence in Sept 1990, just before her 1st concert live in Sofia). Many fans seem to eager already for appealing Vartan music and her new original album and all that. As looking back across time sometimes, Sylvie Vartan seems also hungry for a new way of developping herself. Her career never diminishes.

シルヴィ・ヴァルタン、2019年大晦日の夜の音楽番組に出演。2021年4月のパリ公演「SYLVIE, LE RECITAL」開催を公表した。2021年4月5日から始まる公演のチケットは発売中。公演名と劇場名が示すとおり、ヴァルタンの新しい形のコンサート・ライヴ。
品位と温もりのある独特のハスキー・ヴォイスと豊かな才能の持ち主ヴァルタンは、一筋縄ではいかぬアーティスト。日本公演で直に見る・聞くシルヴィ・ヴァルタンは映像などと違う、遥かに美しく相変わらず格好良い。10月グラン・レックス劇場公演の直前に仏新聞フィガロ（2019年10月19日配信記事）が、すでにヴァルタンは次の公演を構想中だと伝えていた。

SYLVIE VARTAN COVER ALBUM OF 2018 - "AVEC TOI..."
"Avec toi..." : cover songs of Johnny Hallyday (1943-2017), including the Beatles (In My Life) and her messages as an homage to her ex-husband Hallyday (married 1965-1980).
Contrary to the sepia photo of the CD jacket, it opens with a thrilling bass husky voice of Sylvie Vartan. As a whole, however, it seems that the album is kind of quickly made and not to prove herself to the world.
